If you like to bring some changes on your Windows desktop icons for launching applications quickly on board, then here is the option that you can add an application to desktop context menu to fast approaching, here you can see how it works on your Windows Operating system.
The useful tips came from How -To Geek that mentioned, how to add application using desktop on your context menu, and it will take very few step that you can perform easily.
First open your Windows start button, and find run box and enter regedit.exe and go ahead below the key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell
Following the above key, you could reach the final stage.
Select the shell and give a right click to New and Key. And add the name of the application for a new one that you want to show or run from your context menu. Once you add a new key application “command” should be in lowercase.
To finish the process, you need to copy the path to launch the application. On “command” key that it comes as default while you click twice to edit the valuation data of the exe file. And add the full name of the path that you copied previously and finally hit the OK button.
Now, choose the application that you added to your context menu to run the application from the desktop. And also one more thing we are going to remind you that you can give Shift+Right-Click to quickly the copy the path of menu items very easily comes to you. That’s it.
