Store the data as much as you want on your USB key, once the work done, you can remove them safely from the system device. But the program may loose on your USB key, because the Windows ask you to remove the USB safely from the device. Your Windows has safely to remove the icon, once you select the drive, and you have to wait until the notification it will appear that you can safely unplug those chosen drive.
At the most of the time, Windows doesn’t appear the feature that will make you strict with drive support. Your USB drive will fix with SATA or eSATA drives and make your connections. Even some of the USB doesn’t display the connectivity on the Windows taskbar. The only safe way to unplug the USB through from Device Manager.
